If you’re doing the The Week-End Cleanse (or any cleanse) we do recommend working out while doing so. Below are a few things we recommend doing along with your cleanse… A little workout is okay, but don’t push it. Listen to your body, it knows best:)

Meditation

“The affairs of the world will go on forever. Do not delay the practice of meditation.“ – Milarepa

We meditate everyday even if it’s for only 10 minutes. Those day’s when you have a billion things to do, those are the best and the most challenging days to meditate.

Basic: set a timer for 10 minutes, find a comfortable seat, close your eyes and focus on your breath. Breathing in and out through your nose. Try not to think about anything and let the thoughts flow in and out of your mind freely and unattached.

Gratitude:  set a timer for 10 minutes, find a comfortable seat, close your eyes and focus on your breath. Think about all the things you are grateful for today. Try and picture them in your head with as much detail as possible. Here is a meditation that Peter likes.

Feelings: set a timer for 10 minutes, find a comfortable seat, close your eyes and focus on your breath. Scan your body, starting from your toes, working your way to your head and take note of how each part of your body is feeling.

Cardio

“The human body is the best picture of the human soul” – Ludwig Wittgenstein

We used to be hardcore about our running, but have become more gentle with our bodies.

When cleansing, it’s especially important to be gentle and take it easy. We recommend 30 minutes of movement a day.

Walking ~ Running ~ Jump Rope ~ Hiking ~ Trampoline {All Good Options}

Yoga

“Yoga is the perfect opportunity to be curious about who you are.” – Jason Crandell

We really love our home practice, udaya.com has a great monthly membership that we’ve been using for a while now and really enjoy it.

Take a gentle class at your gym or nearest yoga studio, YouTube is a great option as well. Or make up your own flow.

*Oil Pulling and clay mask’s are also great activities to add to your cleanse, and can you read more about those HERE.

Hope that helps:)

Good health is an investment, but we would argue it’s the most important one you’ll ever make<3

What has your experience been with cleanses? Do you usually add activity? Or do you feel too drained?
