I’m going to keep this brief because Peter and I are swamped over here!
We’re working on a new product (EEK..Excited!) and trying to finish the rough draft of our TEDx Talk which is due Friday!
More on the Ted Talk Later:)
I wanted to share this recipe with you though, because it makes a bright pink smoothie (hard to tell from the photos but the color is amazing) that would make the perfect Valentine’s Day breakfast!
There have been a lot of V-Day treats circling the web, which I have been guilty of posting…
But I thought it would be nice to balance out that sugar out with a Green (Pink) Smoothie!
I don’t know about where you live, but here in San Diego, Acai Bowls are all the rage.
And we love it!
Acai is extremely high in antioxidants, it has been found to aid in weight loss and boost immunity.
You can find these bowls at most breakfast spots and Whole Foods Market.
But we recently found Pitaya Plus Smoothie Packets!
And think Pitaya Bowls are going to become increasingly popular!
Pitaya is another word for Dragon Fruit
Dragon Fruit is also high in antioxidants and boosts immunity. These packets are more of a pinkish purple, instead of a really dark purple found in the Acai Packets. Pitaya Smoothie Packs are RAW and can be found next to the frozen berries at your local health food store. Here is the info for the brand we used.
If you don’t know what a smoothie bowl is, it’s just a thicker version of a smoothie! Oh, and it’s eaten in a bowl and served with toppings. The toppings are really what makes the bowl… just saying:)
