Sweet BBQ Apple Pizza

Ingredients
Crust:
- 1½ cups brown rice flour
- ½ cup almond flour
- 1 cup corn meal
- ¾ cup + 2 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. flax meal
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
BBQ Pizza Sauce:
- 1 can (14oz) tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp. black strap molasses
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 dash salt
Toppings:
- ¼ of a red onion
- 1 apple
- 1 tomato
- 1 jalapeno*
- red pepper flakes*
- nutritional yeast*
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Lightly oil a large baking sheet.
- In a large bowl combine, water, flax meal, olive oil, basil and garlic powder. Mix well and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, add flour and cornmeal. Mix well. Knead a few times in bowl with hands. Leave in bowl while you work on the rest of pizza.
- In a food processor process all of the sauce ingredients.
- Next chop up all desired toppings and shred cheese if using.
- To assemble, knead dough again and then place in the middle of baking sheet.
- Using your hands spread out and form a crust. Once crust is made, place sauce and then cheese (if using) and veggies on top.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Slice and serve with nutritional yeast and red pepper flakes if using.
