The first time we had a pumpkin pie green smoothie WE WENT CRAZY! It was so delicious – we got it from a little café called Thrive in Seattle. While this one is super yummy, if you’re ever in Seattle in the fall you gotta get the real thing from Thrive! Benefit: Calcium. Needed for (yes) strong bones! Skip the milk and eat some cashews:)
Serves: 1
  • 2 cups greens (kale 2-3 leaves, spinach, chard 2-3 leaves)
  • 2-4 ice cubes
  • 1 cup almond milk (or other non-dairy milk)
  • 1 frozen banana (freeze night before in bowl or Ziploc without the peel)
  • ¼ cup cashews
  • 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon
  1. Place greens, strawberries, almond milk and cashews in the blender and blend until smooth. Then add banana and spices.
  2. You may have to add a little more liquid, but you want it to be thick and creamy!
