Are you familiar with Moringa Leaf?
Well, I wasn’t until a few months ago.
Peter came home talking about this new superfood and to be honest sometimes I get overwhelmed with all the new superfoods popping up!
But then I started seeing Moringa at our local farmers market and that’s when I thought I better check this stuff out…
Turns out…
Moringa is the most nutrient-dense plant in the world! Sorry Kale ;)
It contains over 90 nutrients and 46 antioxidants!
It grows in the Himalayas and is used to fight weight-loss, constipation, arthritis, cancer, diabetes… the list goes on and on.
It tastes similar to matcha and has a grassy smell.
It mixes very well in smoothies, and teas.
I’m sure you could put it in granola, or oatmeal.
So far our favorite is in the smoothie recipe listed below :)
You can buy Moringa online or maybe even at your local farmers market.
We get ours from Raw Revelations. (A little side note: the owner and employees of this company are sooo knowledgeable!
You can really ask them any questions about superfoods… they know it all!)

Hey, thanks for the info on this superfood! Always good to know what new ones are in the spotlight… definitely going to try this! :)
It’s balanced really well, and doesn’t taste too green, I especially like the flavour the date and cacao adds! ????????
Glad you liked it Janette :)

I look forwaed to trying this out
i just started using Moringa in my smoothies. The one I just made was spinach, celery, baby carrots, peach, red grapes, and banana. I added almond milk, honey and 1 tsp. of Moringa. Delicious!
As it’s getting cold now and smoothie is tough to drink. What can I do with the moringa leaf power in the morning beside putting it in a cup of tea. Help and thanks
Hey Madonna!
Great question, I do love using Moringa in tea now that the weather is changing. You can add it to warm milk with sweetener of your choice. But as for other recipes, it’s great in granola or oatmeal. You can also add it to curry dishes or baked goods. I’ve added it to cheesecakes, it gives off a great color. Are you familiar with the website tastespotting.com ? You can type moringa in there and it should come up with a few ideas!
Does it matter if I use the leaf or the powder? I’m super new to this and want to make sure I get the right thing. I also considered getting it in pill form, thoughts???
The powder is much more convenient to use Keera. I personally wouldn’t get the stevia tabs, because they only dissolve in hot liquid – so using in a smoothie and many other recipes wouldn’t work as well.
The smoothie was delicious, I give to my son for low energy, depression etc. Thank you much appreciated xo ????
Hey Sharon, So glad you and your son liked it!
Hi I tried blackberries, raspberries, 1 banana, coconut milk and two spoonfuls of Greek natural yogurt, some grated ginger and one teaspoon of moringa. I find this very filling and lasts me till lunchtime.
I wanted to know if there is any info on this Superfood and the benefits it has for people with Alzheimer’s?
This smoothie is Delicious. We have been taking Moringa the hard way for a while. Now we can enjoy it with other super nutricious foods. And ENJOY.!!
