What to do if you dont like salad

We all know how important it is to eat salads, but what if you don’t like them?

Today we’re sharing 5 tips to get you eating salad in no time. These are simple things you can take action on today that will make a big difference for you.

What if you already like salads? These ideas are good too if you’ve got a non-salad eater in your life that you’re trying to covert!

What to do if you don’t like salad

Here are 2 fabulous ‘themed’ salads to try…

#1 – Mexii Kale Salad

Mexii Kale Salad - edit

Marinade

  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. water

Salad

  • 1 sweet potato (cubed & baked)
  • 1 cup red cabbage
  • 4-6 kale leaves
  • 1 cup black beans
  • 1 cup corn (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 green onions

Garnish

  • salsa
  • guacamole
  • lime wedges

Directions

Remove stems from kale and chop into small pieces. Then chop cabbage and green onions.

Mix marinade ingredients together. Chop kale and place into a large bowl. Add marinade to bowl of kale and massage it together. Set aside.

Add the rest of the salad ingredients to the bowl with the kale.

Top with salsa, guacamole and lime wedges.

#2 – Blueberry Salad

Salad

  • 1 head of lettuce
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup macadamia nuts
  • 2 avocados
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

Dressing

  • 1 Tbsp. shallot, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. flaxseed oil
  • sea salt & black pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp. coconut sugar (or other sugar)

Directions

Wash and chop lettuce and add that to a large bowl.

Wash blueberries and add those to the large bowl along with the cranberries.

Next, chop the avocado into cubes and add to the bowl. Chop the macadamia nuts and add in as well.

Mince shallot extra small and add it along with all other dressing ingredients to a small bowl. Whisk to combine. Just before you’re ready to serve, pour dressing over salad and toss well.

Add black pepper if desired and serve.

      I sure wish I loved salad… but can’t seem to like it unless it’s slathered in dressing and has main-meal elements like eggs, tuna, cheese, and bacon. But I like the idea of cutting the lettuce really small. I’m about to make a salad now (got a bunch of Romaine in my surprise produce basket yesterday), and want to try that tip! Thanks!
