This week we are super excited to introduce you to someone who is very inspiring. She is a regular guest on the local news; she has been honored by Michelle Obama and Jamie Oliver! She has her own Cooking Show on YouTube, which we just love, her message is very simple: Being Healthy is cool… We could not agree more!

Allow us to introduce you, Meet Amber:

1). When did you first get into the kitchen? I have been helping in the kitchen for as long as I can remember. I started by helping my mom and she eventually let me do more and more!

2). Favorite thing to Eat? I love Japanese food! I am also half Japanese.

3). How often do you Cook? I cook as often as I can, 2 times a week at minimum.

4). Favorite restaurant of all time? I love Blue C Sushi!

5). Why is that your favorite restaurant? I love sushi. It is all so fresh and yummy!

6). Your Ideal Food Day consists of? I would have blueberry oatmeal for breakfast, sushi for lunch, and taco salad and fruit salad for dinner. All of those foods are so yummy and healthy!

7). Someone you look up to? I look up to Jamie Oliver and Giada De Laurentiis! They are both amazing cooks and cook super yummy foods!

8). Do you think Organic and Local food is important? Yes it is! When food is organic, it is not sprayed with chemicals. Food without chemicals is healthier for you!

9). What is your favorite thing in the kitchen? I love the pan, you can do so much in it! You can sear, you can sauté, you can fry, etc.

10). Who did you learn to cook from? I learned to cook from my mom! She is my main inspiration. She is an amazing cook!

11). Do you go grocery shopping with your parents? Yes, I love to, especially when I get to shop for the things I make.

12). What is your favorite quick meal? I love Greek Salad! It is so easy and so yummy!

13). If we looked in your lunchbox what would we find? Carrots, apples, oranges, and dinner leftovers or a sandwich. YUM!

14). If you were to host a Dinner Party what would you make? I would probably make Moroccan Pasta! It is so easy and yummy!

15). Do your friends like to cook? YES! All of my friends love it and we always have fun cooking together!

16). Name a vegetable you could eat every day? BEETS! I LOVE THEM! THEY ARE SO GOOD!

17). How old are you? I am 11 years old.

18). What are your plans for the future? I don’t know, but I just want to be happy!

19). What tips would you give parents who want their kids to eat healthier? Have fun in the kitchen, and start adding healthy foods first, instead of taking foods away.
