Serves: 4-6
Ingredients
- 1 whole coconut
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 4 cups filtered water
Instructions
- Soak almonds for 3-5 hours or overnight if you can. (If you can't soak, recipe will still work)
- Add coconut water (all liquid inside the coconut) into high speed blender.
- Then scrape out the "meat" of the coconut and place in the blender.
- Next drain almonds, if soaked.
- Place almonds in blender. Blend all ingredients on high until smooth.
- Using a large bowl and a nut milk bag strain milk through the bag into the bowl, removing the pulp and releasing the liquid.
- Discard the pulp or save for a later recipe, and place milk in the fridge and chill. Will keep for 1 week.
Notes
You can flavor the milk by placing 2 dates and ½ tsp. vanilla extract in blender after milk has been strained. Blend on high.
