11 Products to Help You Lose Weight and Re-Gain Your Energy

So we just opened up our newest program Plant-Based Weight Loss For Women and it’s mighty fine if I do say so myself. However, since doing that, members (and others) who are just curious about it have been asking for additional weight loss products.

I thought this post might be helpful for those of you looking to buy something from the store that helps with shedding the weight + increasing energy.

Below are 10 things we’re loving when it comes to healthy weight loss & sustained energy + 1 thing I’m excited to try.

Vega Protein Powder

1). Vegan Protein Powder

When it comes to getting rid of unwanted weight and feeling increased energy, it’s good to aim for 10-15 grams of protein per meal. This will keep you full, motivated and also guarantee you’re getting all of your amino acids. There are a lot of protein powders out there, but a lot of them contain TOO MUCH protein, and cause your body to do extra work – OR they’re full of processed ingredients.  When I was trying to lose weight I only used Vega, and I still recommend it. I think Vega is a great option because it’s clean, and contains a lot of the nutrients your body needs – like 50% of your vitamins and minerals in one serving. I also like that it’s sweetened with stevia, comes in multiple flavors and is very affordable.

2). Protein Bars

This one might surprise you as we’re known for promoting the importance of making your own food (we’re currently hosting a cooking challenge in our community!) However, when trying to get healthier and re-claim your energy, it can be overwhelming to MAKE ALL of your own food (been there done that!). So we recommend having a go-to bar to keep hunger at bay when short on time. We recommend GoMacro, I personally favor the Protein Purity. 3). Dark Chocolate

Another surprising item, but I’m not talking about just any chocolate. We’ve been loving Lily’s Baking Chips. They’re Sugar-free – again sweetened with stevia – and are pretty impressive. I find when I swear off chocolate completely I tend to want it more. These are the perfect balance, and we use them in baking, oatmeal or even eat them alone as a little dessert. PLUS, this company gives a portion of it’s profits to to grassroots non-profits that support childhood cancer survivors and fighters. Way to go Lily’s:)


4). Superfoods

When we need a boost, or are feeling really run down we turn to superfoods. When you eat super clean it’s not something you need to eat everyday, or a lot of (it won’t hurt you), but they’re great when you REALLY NEED to amp up your immunity – as they’re jam packed with nutrients and low in calories. Now we don’t recommend just any superfoods, we love Philosophie. Sophie pairs superfoods with protein for an amazing effect. Here is what she says about the products:

5). Tea

Not just any tea, but Opportuniteas… okay, this is one we are dying to try!  I have my eye on their SuperGreens and I have a good feeling this would be an amazing product for weight loss and clarity. It contains 8 of our favorite superfoods like: cacao, matcha, goji berries, yerba mate and few others. I really love that it can be consumed hot or cold. Here is what the company has to say:

6). Blender

When it comes to losing weight, eating right is #1 in our book. So it shouldn’t surprise you that a blender is on this list. This tool is SO CRUCIAL as it makes eating healthy quick and easy. Green Smoothies can be made in less than 5 minutes and can pack in more vegetables than you could physical eat in one sitting. We recommend a blendtec, but no matter what brand you go with, invest in a high speed blender as you’re going to be using it A LOT.

7). Juicer

We talk about this a lot but Juicing is amazing for your a health. It is different than blending, and is a great way to slim down, cleanse and re-energize. We use our juicer EVERY SINGLE morning and cannot live without it. You can look at the juicers we have/had HERE.


8). A Diffuser

This might seem a little random, but it’s not:)  In order to lose wight you HAVE TO manage your stress levels, and a good way to do that is by diffusing essential oils. For relaxation we like: Lavender, Jasmine (my new favorite btw) and Sandalwood. For energy we use: Wild Orange, Peppermint or Lemon. No matter what oils you use, just make sure you get a diffuser to really soak them in. We have this one and also have purchased some from Doterra.

9). A CSA Box

This is another thing we’re really passionate about: Eating Seasonal. The best way to do that is to sign-up for a CSA Program. 10). At-Home Workouts

We love working out at home… running, free weights and even yoga. We find when we don’t have to go to the gym we exercise & move more often. We really like Udaya for high quality videos that you actually look forward to doing.
